What is AceRev AdBlue?

AceRev AdBlue

AceRev AdBlue® is a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) mixture used in all diesel engines manufactured from January 2010 onwards. AdBlue solution is also widely used by commercial vehicles; specifically the models that are Euro 6-compliant.

AceRev AdBlue® is not a fuel additive as it’s added into the exhaust gas after combustion has taken place. The solution is 32.5% urea-based, and it is used as a reducing agent for diesel vehicles that are equipped with the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system.

The primary role of AceRev AdBlue® is to minimize harmful Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions from the exhaust pipes. Nitrogen Oxide is a dangerous gas that can severely damage our lungs, while also harming the vegetation due to the fine particulate matter contamination it caused.

Due to these reasons, governments worldwide have set limits on vehicular NOx emissions and promoted the use of AdBlue solution. AceRev AdBlue® will improve the air quality and reduces the danger of illnesses and deaths caused by diesel pollution.

How does AceRev Adblue work?

AceRev AdBlue® works closely with the vehicle engine’s SCR system to reduce its NOx emissions. Vehicles that utilize this dynamic discharge control technology can be identified by the use of ‘SCR’ or ‘Blue’ in their model names.

After the exhaust gas passes through the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), AdBlue solution is sprayed into it via a dosing control system. As the solution enters the SCR catalytic converter, the ammonia within Adblue’s urea reacts with NOx in the exhaust stream.

This chemical reaction neutralizes NOx to form two harmless components; nitrogen (N2) and water vapour (H2O), while also reducing fuel consumption by 6%.

AceRev AdBlue® and SCR systems are highly effective together, reducing up to 90% of NOx emissions. Additionally, it also minimizes hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide emissions by 90%, and particulate emissions by half.

What is the shelf life?

What is the shelf life of AceRev AdBlue®?

AdBlue® has a shelf life of 6 to 12 months, depending on the storage temperature. As the temperature in Singapore tends to be high, the shelf life will be shorter. However, rest assured that you will receive only the freshest AdBlue produced – 2 months from its manufactured date to be exact. This is as AceRev strives to provide extraordinary values to its customers, delivering its promise to guarantee the longest shelf life of Adblue in Singapore.

Why is the shelf life of AdBlue important?

How long have you kept your AdBlue in storage? It is crucial to keep track of the period as the urea concentration within the AdBlue solution can be affected once it is stored for too long. This may lead to your SCR system deteriorating. It’s best to not take any risk and use your Adblue within 6 to 12 months of purchase.

The shelf life of AdBlue matters. If you would like to know more about this, give us a ring. Our team can assist you and conduct a simple test to determine if your Adblue is still fine to use. This service requires no additional charges.

Why choose AceRev AdBlue®?

AceRev AdBlue® is locally manufactured and marketed by Interion Pte Ltd. You can get AdBlue in various packaging as it is available in bulk, barrel, and even small commercial vehicle packs.

Aside from reducing NOx emissions without harming the engines, AceRev AdBlue® also features an additive that cleans the SCR system, hence improving its performance. The solution minimizes the risk of clogging for up to 50,000 km, which ultimately reduces maintenance costs.
